Born in Berlin, Birgitt Busz studied at the Academy of Art
in Hannover, Germany.

She lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

In her work she refers to our collective memory and incorporates philosophers such as Nietzsche and Sloterdijk, the romantic
paintings from Caspar David Friedrich, the stories of  Murakami
and the tradition of cartoons, all adapted to her own very personal style.

She has mastered  different techniques, has a special use of colours  
and is admired for her observations about modern society. 
Her work is found in private collections  in Europe 
and America.
